Cuban heroine Celia Sánchez Manduley honored

The Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) paid tribute to Celia Sánchez Manduley, yesterday January 11 in Havana, on the 36th anniversary of her death. During the event held at the monument to the heroine of the Sierra and the underground, Teresa Amarelle, secretary general of the FMC and member of the Party Central Committee, emphasized the contributions of Celia, whose values and efforts constitute an example for Cuban girls, adolescents and women of today.

Documentary on Celia Sánchez premieres in Granma


The film, which premiered in this city January 10, was produced by Mundo Latino, with script by Servando Valdés and directed by Ariel Prieto-Solís, and presents an accurate, inspiring recollection of the life and work of one of the nation’s most outstanding figures.
