The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

UN Greets Cuba-U.S. Relations and Island Role in key Issues

Pope Francis Ends Visit to the US in Philadelphia
Pope Francis concludes his five-day tour of the United States with a mass in Philadelphia, which will serve as a culmination to the 8th World Meeting of Families today. President Correa thanks Cuba for medical cooperation
This past September, during the inauguration of an ambulatory clinic at Guayaquil’s Abel G. Pontón Hospital, President Rafael Correa reported that during his administration medical services have been doubled, with doctor visits increasing from 16 to 36 million, thanks to the Citizens Revolution and Cuban cooperation.
According to Cubaminrex website, Cuba’s collaboration began in 2012 with 75 medial professionals in Ecuador, a figure which has now reached 816, as a result of 11 agreements, nine with the country’s Ministry of Public Health and two with its Social Security Institute.

Colombia is advancing along the path to peace
