Social Movements Back Regional Integration

Quito, Jul 29 (Prensa Latina) Social Movements Summit supports Latin American integration based on solidarity and complementarity, that is why today’s debate generates proposals from that perspective.

The organizations contribute with ideas, during these two days of exchanges of views, which serve as a prelude to the 12 Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), told Prensa Latina, Ernesto Freire, head of the Department of International Relations of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba.

At the end of the meeting , mobilization of about 10 thousand people will march to the Coliseo de los Paladines to meet with the presidents of the ALBA countries and deliver a statement of the Summit of Social Movements.

The Cuban labor leader stressed the importance of these proposals for the construction of social policies designed by presidents who make up the regional bloc.
