Latin American News Agencies Meet in Bolivia

La Paz, Jul 19 (Prensa Latina) The 2nd Executive Council of the Latin American Union of News Agencies (ULAN) is meeting today in this capital, with the attendance of directors, heads and delegates from nine regional public agencies.

Bolivia’s Communication Minister, Amanda Davila, will open the ULAN Executive Council’s sessions at the Bolivian Executive headquarters, suggesting a possible meeting with Bolivian President Evo Morales and Vice President Alvaro Garcia.

With the premise of democratizing information and contributing to the integration of regional peoples, the ULAN, founded in Caracas in 2011, will gather representatives from Telam (Argentina), AVN (Venezuela), Prensa Latina (based in Cuba), and AGN (Guatemala).

IP (Paraguay), Andes (Ecuador), EBC (Brazil), and the host ABI will also attend the event. Andina (Peru) will participate as a guest.
