The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Legislators to Examine Expropriation of Argentinean YPF

Buenos Aires, Apr 26 (Prensa Latina) A plenary commission of the Argentinean House of Deputies on Thursday will begin the analysis of the initiative presented by President Cristina Fernandez to regain control by the State over the oil firm YPF. Already approved by the Senate of the Nation, the draft bill will be discussed today by the Committees on Energy, Budget and Constitutional Affairs.

Argentina Negotiates with French Total to Increase Gas Production

Buenos Aires, Apr 23 (Prensa Latina) The first working meeting with French company Total to increase gas production in two Argentinian oil fields will take place on Monday in this capital, YPF oil company auditor Julio de Vido stated.The first meeting to advance in this issue begins today, De Vido said last week during a news conference.
