The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Raúl receives highest state distinction granted by China to friends in other nations
Chinese President Xi Jinping, on September 29, presented his country’s Friendship Medal awarded to the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz. Miguel Ángel Ramírez, Cuban ambassador to that nation, received the distinction, according to Cubaminrex, in a ceremony held at the Great Hall of the People, where 41 Chinese and international figures were also recognized.

Threats and coercion will not extract a single concession from Cuba

HEALTH The damage caused by sanctions on Cuba in the field of health is unquestionable. This hostile policy obstructs the acquisition of technology, raw materials, reagents, diagnostic tools, equipment and spare parts, as well as medicines for the treatment of serious diseases like cancer- Between April 2018 and March 2019, damages in this sector amounted to $104,148,178, a figure that far exceeds last year’s estimate of $6,123,498.
