The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

With Abdala, Cuba takes another step toward broad scale vaccination

Blockade disrupts production of medicine for Cuba’s national health system
The U.S. government’s financial persecution of Cuba, added to the economic, commercial and financial blockade, limits the industry’s operations and development. Directors of Cuba’s Biotechnological and Pharmaceutical Industries Enterprise Group (BioCubaFarma) denounced the impact on their research and production of the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed on Cuba by the U.S. government.

No crime lasts a hundred years
A second global caravan against the U.S. blockade of Cuba took place in more than 50 cities around the world this weekend. Twitter’s news feed did not stop. Facebook played live videos, one after another. Before the restless eyes of those following everything related to Cuba posted on social networks, this Saturday and Sunday, it was impossible not to notice that something was afoot.

Another celebration of Cuban workers
The fact that this May Day Cubans will remain behind closed doors, once again, with the same desire to march we felt in 2020, does not mean in any way that we renounce the celebration of International Workers’ Day, a universal century-old commemoration, which in Cuba is a massive event, to share with family and co-workers.

The opening of the Eighth Party Congress takes place on a transcendental date in the nation’s history: The 60th anniversary of the proclamation by Comandante en jefe Fidel Castro Ruz of the socialist character of the Revolution, on April 16, 1961, at the funeral farewell for those killed the previous day in the bombing of our air bases, prelude to the mercenary invasion at Playa Giron, organized and financed by the United States government as part of plans to crush the example of the Cuban Revolution.

ALBA-TCP recognizes Raul’s dedication
The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People’s Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) paid tribute to Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, as he concluded his work as first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee. Alliance member countries conveyed their tribute in a communiqué as a “just recognition of a life devoted to the liberation of our peoples, to the struggle for social justice and internationalist solidarity.
