The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Announcement of new measures for Foreign Trade and internal wholesale and retail trade

Betsy Díaz Velázquez, Minister of Domestic Trade, and Ana Teresita González Fraga, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, appeared this Monday at the Round Table to report on new economic measures that are part of those announced by Deputy Prime Minister Alejandro Gil in the recent session of the National Assembly of People’s Power. At the beginning of the television space, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, Ana Teresita González Fraga, stressed that the announced measures.

A million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to be available in April

The director of the Finlay Vaccine Institute, Vicente Vérez Bencomo, stated that mass production of the Soberana series of candidate vaccines has begun, and Cuba can expect to have one million doses on hand in April. He explained that the manufacturing process is underway for 100,000 doses to supply broader clinical trials of Soberana 01 and Soberana 02.

The country has overcome first stage of fuel shortage with minimum impact

During a meeting to evaluate measures taken in the province to address the difficult energy situation, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez insisted, “We are not going to stop dreaming. Our people will continue to be happy, hard-working, creative, and joyful. This is part of the determination we have expressed to never surrender.”

Cuban President announces measures to deal with conjunctural fuel shortage

The President of Cuba’s Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and several ministers appeared on the Mesa Redonda television program, last night, to report on measures being taken to address the current energy situation and inform the population .
