The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Jamaica’s Prime Minister Receives President Diaz-Canel
Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness today received Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel in the context of the 39th Ordinary Meeting of the Conference of Heads of State of the Community of Caribbean (CARICOM).
Holness and Diaz-Canel held the meeting at the Convention Center, hours after the arrival of the Cuban President to this city, especially invited to the conclave by the Jamaican governor, CARICOM’s President pro-tempore.

Raúl receives Jamaican Prime Minister
Army General, Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers held a meeting, June 5, with the honorable Andrew Michael Holness, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Economic Growth and Job Creation of Jamaica, in Cuba to attend the 7th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS-AEC).

Jamaica values relations with Cuba, says Nicholson
He was speaking at a reception to mark the 57th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution (National Day) held on Thursday at the Cuban ambassador’s St Andrew residence. The event was attended by Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, Government ministers, members of the diplomatic corps, among others. Senator Nicholson noted that the Cuban Government has provided invaluable support to the country over the years, particularly in health and education.
