The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, accompanied by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, yesterday received in a solemn ceremony, from new ambassadors of the Republic of Haiti; of the Kingdom of Spain; of the Republic of Benin; of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau; H.E. Mr. Shibru Mamo Kedida, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia; H.E. Ms. Nana Yuliana, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia; and H.E. Mr. Mahamadou Diagouraga, Ambassador of the Republic of Mali.

Cuban Foreign Minister: These are times of solidarity and of understanding health as a right
“We reaffirmed that these are times of solidarity and of understanding health as a right and not a commodity,” Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla posted on his Twitter account, referring to his remarks yesterday, June 3, during a video conference organized by Germany’s Federal Foreign Minister Heiko Maas with counterparts in Latin America and the Caribbean, to share experiences to better confront the COVID-19 pandemic and discuss how to overcome its consequences together.

Cuba condemns terrorism and political manipulation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states its strong rejection of the slanderous inclusion of Cuba in the U.S. State Department list of countries which are allegedly not cooperating fully with U.S. efforts against terrorism that was made public on May 13, 2020 and strongly rejected by President Miguel Díaz-Canel. Bermúdez. This is a unilateral and arbitrary listing with no basis, authority or international support.

Cuban Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez presided an annual review at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex), yesterday, and recognized the hard work done during a year which saw the brutal intensification of the U.S. blockade and the strengthening of Cuba’s relations with the world. Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla stated on his twitter account that, during the meeting, “The complex panorama faced by Cuban foreign policy in 2019 was analyzed. A year marked by U.S. hostility.”
