The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Dutch Foreign Minister Describes Visit to Cuba as Positive
The Foreign Minister of the Netherlands, Bert Koenders, described as positive his visit to Cuba, a Caribbean nation with which his country wants today to strengthen bilateral relations. In that sense, he expressed the interest of the Netherlands -Cuba’s important trade partner within the European Union (EU)- to increase ties of cooperation in agriculture, tourism, energy, ecology, education, and culture. After describing his visit as fruitful and positive, the foreign minister stated that a Dutch trade mission, aimed at strengthening economic relations, is expected to visit the Caribbean island next year.
