The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Snowden Submits Request for Temporary Asylum in Russia, Says Lawyer
Moscow, Jul 16 (Prensa Latina) Former U.S. Intelligence agent Edward Snowden has officially requested temporary asylum in Russia, said lawyer Anatoli Kucherena today after meeting with Snowden at the airport in this capital. “He filled the application for temporary asylum with my help because he needs advise in juridical and legislative terms. Due to his condition, I met with him for a consultation,” said the lawyer.
