The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

President Diaz-Canel receives credentials from new ambassadors
The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, accompanied by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, yesterday received in a solemn ceremony, from new ambassadors of the Republic of Haiti; of the Kingdom of Spain; of the Republic of Benin; of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau; H.E. Mr. Shibru Mamo Kedida, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia; H.E. Ms. Nana Yuliana, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia; and H.E. Mr. Mahamadou Diagouraga, Ambassador of the Republic of Mali.

Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee, and the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, presided the swearing-in ceremony for 27 heads of missions abroad.
