The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Cuba, Venezuela strengthen relations despite US blockade
Venezuela’s Vice President Delcy Rodriguez assured on Saturday that her country is strengthening friendly relations with Cuba despite the US blockade affecting both countries. ‘We are here ratifying our ties, the Cuba-Venezuela sisterhood has been stronger and unstoppable, not even destroyed by the most savage criminal blockade that humanity has ever known,’ Rodriguez told the press concerning her visit to Havana. During a working meeting with Cuba’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca.
