The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Cuba and the EU working to strengthen bilateral relations
Taking to her Twitter account Cuba’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ana Teresita González Fraga, noted that the meeting will be chaired by EU High Representative Federica Mogherini and Rodríguez Parrilla. According to González Fraga, this First encounter, “will provide an opportunity to advance relations between Cuba and the regional bloc,” following on from their Political Dialogue and Cooperation Agreement signed in 2017.

11th Cuban Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia
A range of activities are being undertaken May 4 through 18, as part of the 11th Cuban Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (Cuba’s event to mark IDAHO – International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia).
