- El Paso Diary
The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

I Would So Much Like To Be Wrong
The sports enthusiasm grows constantly attracting hundreds of millions or perhaps even billions of people worldwide. But, we should be wondering how many are aware that from June 20 US warships, including the aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman, escorted by one or more nuclear submarines and other warships carrying missiles and cannons more powerful than the old battleships used during the last World War between 1939 and 1945, have been moving towards the Iranian coasts via the Suez Canal.
The Inescapable Conflict
Who are increasingly complaining if not the workers, the professionals, those rendering services to the population, the retirees, the unemployed, the street children and the people lacking the most basic education who make up the majority of the nearly seven billion inhabitants of the planet whose crucial resources are clearly depleting?
A Swipe Waiting To Happen
It would not be surprising that both Israel and the United States, –and its close allies with the right of veto in the Security Council, France and the United Kingdom?try to avail themselves of the enormous interest aroused by the World Football contest to appease the international public irritated over the criminal behavior of the Israeli elite troops in front of the Gaza Strip.
On The Brink Of The Tragedy
The consequences of the US imperial imbroglios could be catastrophic and affect every inhabitant of the planet much more than all of the economic crises combined.
Imperialism And Lies
I had no choice but to write two reflections on Iran and Korea explaining the imminent danger of a war with the use of nuclear weapons. (…) The political leaders and the world public opinion have proof of the cynicism and absolute lack of scruples that characterize the United States imperial policy.
The Empire And The War
President Obama can make hundreds of speeches trying to accommodate irreconcilable contradictions to the detriment of truth; or he can dream of the magic of his well articulated phrases while making concessions to personalities and groups lacking in ethics. He can also portray fantastic worlds that only fit in his head, as they are planted there by unscrupulous advisors aware of his tendencies.
Imperialism And Drugs
It would be worthwhile asking the big power, the same that has almost one thousand military bases and seven fleets with nuclear aircraft carriers and thousands of combat planes used to exert tyranny on the world, how is it going to solve the drug issue.
The Historical Significance Of Jose Marti’s Death
Leaving aside the problems afflicting human beings today, our Homeland had the privilege of being the cradle of one of the most extraordinary thinkers born in this hemisphere: Jose Marti.
The Hateful Tyranny Imposed On The World
Our times are characterized by an unprecedented event: the threat to the survival of the human species imposed on the world by imperialism. The painful reality should not come as a surprise to anyone. It could be seen rapidly advancing in the past few decades, at such a pace as it is hard to imagine.
The Insanities Of Our Times
The human being managed to raise its life possibilities to such limits as exceed its own capacity to survive, and in this battle they are consuming at an accelerated pace the raw materials available to them. Science made it possible to turn matter into energy, as in the case of the nuclear reaction, –through large investments– but there is no sign that turning energy into matter is even viable.
