The two parties discussed the positive relations shared by Cuba and the Red Cross, as well as other issues of humanitarian interest.

Additionally participating in the meeting was Juan Pedro Schaerer, head of the regional ICRC delegation for Mexico, Central America Central and Cuba.

Present on the Cuban side were Minister of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, Army Corps General Leopoldo Cintra Frías, and Interim Foreign Minister Marcelino Medina González.
