The Plaza de San Francisco de Asis -located in the heart of the Historic Center of Havana- will host the concert organized by the Office of the Historian, RTV Comercial, Musicuba and record label EGREM.

Cultura Profetica was created in 1996 for the need of a group of musicians to express their social concerns through roots reggae, a subgenre of reggae.

They recorded their first single “Cancion de alerta” in Jamaica, in the study of Bob Marley, to whom they have paid numerous tributes.

The band -which has become a musical reference in the American continent- was presented for the first time in the Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile this year, where it was awarded with the “Antorcha de Oro” (Golden Torch) and “Gaviota de Plata” (Silver Seagull).

On the other hand, the Cuban band Buena Fe these days is presenting their new album Soy, which gather 13 hits, some with different musical arrangements, plus three new songs.

The band formed in 1999, recorded its first single in 2001 and holds several awards from the most important events of the Cuban recording industry Cubadisco, including the Best-Selling Album and the Best Pop-Fusion Album.
