, and happy 85th birthday!

I don’t know how I can begin penning this letter to a man like you who has been a voice of the voiceless to developing countries in their quest for recognition and freedom.
Commandante Fidel, I hope you are doing well wherever you are now that you are rare on the world stage ever since you decided to relinquish the reins of power. The third world and poor countries can only wish you the best, good health and more years knowing that you have always defended their rights and been a symbol of resistance against forces of imperialism and colonialism.

I am very proud of Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales for taking such great care of their people, it is only a wish that my people (the Indigenous of Canada) would have the same equal treatment as main stream society in Canada do, many of our reserves (where we were placed to live) are under water advisory and unable to drink the water, resources from land are taken without question...yes, Mr. Castro and both Mr. Chavez and Mr. Morales are great men. I attended the world's peoples summit in Cochabamba last year and was so proud of the Indigenous people throughout who are willing to stand up for our rights.
