It is truly necessary to have an update of the fight that is going on in the aftermath of the occupation of Tripoli by the “NATO mercenaries”. The “disciplined media” is working hard to convince us that everything is done and dealt with so that we sit back and watch while the imperialist powers are destroying a sovereign country.
Last Friday in Toronto/Canada there was a community update on the case of Libya with the presence of former U.S. congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and two other speakars-one from Global Research and another an independent reporter. More than 120 people packed the place and were shocked to hear how the media is lying about the situation in Lybia and how the incessant bombing of Lybia by the NATO forces under the leadership of a Canadian military general which has caused death and destruction in a small country is not being reported.
On our part we handed some 20 brochures which has Reflections by Fidel Castro on Lybia.
The participants reading the Reflections of Fidel will learn that how Fidel predicted the occupation and invasion of Lybia way before the passing of the Reolution 1973 by the UN Security Council.
As friends of Cuba we will make sure that the friends of peace and justice will learn of the principled position of the ALBA countries and first and foremost of the warnings issued by Fidel in his writings.
